Job Overview

We are looking for sales-oriented individuals who are goal driven and great at building relationships with people and business alike. The main function of this position is to explain and sell Property and Casualty insurance coverage to small and mid-size businesses.   • Maintain a pipeline of sales leads and follow up as necessary
  • Set up appointments with prospective businesses
  • Gather necessary information to generate quotations for customer application submissions
  • Present & explain insurance coverages
  • Stay informed of industry news/products
  • Work with internal support staff to build healthy and positive working relationships
  • Close the deal!

Qualifications and Required Skills

  • IL Property & Casualty Insurance License required
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required; Some college preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of Sales experience required
  • Experience with an Agency Management System preferred (Epic Applied Systems is a plus)
  • Effective Communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Positive attitude and the desire to make a difference

  • Manage a team of Life & Health Benefit Account Managers
  • Work with fellow agency leadership to set organizational goals
  • Directs Life & Health Benefit Account Management team during the planning, marketing, decision making, and benefits implementation process
  • Evaluate, recommend, and explain plan design offerings to Life & Health Benefit clients
  • Works with carrier underwriters on product offerings and design

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Database, and Rating Applications

  • Must have strong knowledge of Life & Health insurance coverage
  • Ability to evaluate, recommend, and explain coverage, as well as present strategies/solutions to support clients' benefit programs or needs
  • Will be responsible for assisting Producers with their accounts and servicing their book of business

The Trucking CSR is responsible for supporting the service needs of our Trucking clients. This may include reviewing applications, compiling data and/or changing policy records, canceling policies, verifying accuracy of information.
